Over the last 15 years, I’ve co-founded 3 technology startups, served in leadership roles in 4 non-profits and consulted with numerous operations. I’ve served in virtually every leadership role, but my greatest expertise and strengths are in data driven decision making, problem solving, and process creation. I’ve had the honor of leading teams composed of experts in diverse fields ranging from analytical chemistry to back-end web development to non-profit, mission driven professionals. While the industries and “output” of the businesses I’ve built and organizations I’ve served has varied, I’ve applied the same customer and service mentality along with an analytical approach to achieve goals and maximize success.

Key Accomplishments:
– Co-founded Veda Scientific, a licensed California cannabis testing laboratory with best in class R&D reputation;
– Co-founded / bootstrapped Eterneva, leader in the cremation diamond industry, building the initial manufacturing operation and lead generation pipeline; achieved profitability in under 6 months;
– Co-founded / bootstrapped Zilker Holdings, providing online & comparison and review content for business tools; reached profitability in under 3 months. At it’s peak, company had 20 FTEs and generated $3m annually in revenue;
– Received the Jefferson Award nomination from Austin and the 2013 Big Giver Award for non-profit fundraising.

I co-founded Veda Scientific in 2019, an R&D and compliance cannabis and hemp testing laboratory located in Lompoc, CA. In 2016, I co-founded Eterneva, which turns the ashes of loved ones and pets into diamonds. In 2007, I also co-founded ChooseWhat.com, LLC, a website that guides entrepreneurs through the process of starting a business, and Zilker Holdings, LLC, which owns a family of B2B information sites.

Before founding ChooseWhat / Zilker Holdings, I spent three years with LCG & Apogee Search, two entities that provide online marketing services and consultations. During my tenure, I helped the company grow from five to over forty employees. Over the course of my career, I have founded or been one of the first five employees in five startups.
