Jeremy Johnson

Jeremy Johnson is a serial entrepreneur and investor whose career has been shaped by a consistent theme: unlocking human potential. He co-founded 2U, which helped leading universities including Harvard, Yale, Berkeley, and UNC bring world-class education online, and served as CTO, then CMO, then CSO through the company’s 2014 IPO. He later co-founded Andela on the premise that brilliance is evenly distributed, but opportunity is not.

At Andela, Jeremy helped build one of the earliest global talent marketplaces, connecting companies with exceptional technologists and helping catalyze the growth of tech ecosystems across six continents. Andela became a widely recognized leader in the shift to remote work and a trusted partner to enterprise engineering organizations. In 2016, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative led a $24 million investment in Andela, its first lead investment in a company. Across 2U and Andela, Jeremy helped raise more than $500 million and built at the intersection of technology, education, talent, and access.

Johnson was included in Inc. magazine's 2012 30 Under 30 list and in Forbes's 30 Under 30 lists for 2013 and 2014.
