

Clayton Christopher
Clayton is a passionate entrepreneur and investor dedicated to helping better for you consumer product companies and their leaders reach their full potential. In 1998, he founded Sweet Leaf Tea with $14K and a family recipe, transforming it into a nationally recognized brand that Nestlé acquired in 2011. Next Clayton launched Deep Eddy Vodka, which became one of the fastest-growing spirits brand in the U.S. growing to $100mm+ in revenue before being acquired by Heaven Hill Spirits in 2015. In 2017 Clayton co-founded Waterloo Sparkling Water which quickly became the #1 sparkling water in Whole Foods and was acquired 3yrs later by PE firm Eiurazio.
Clayton co-founded CAVU Consumer Partners in 2016, raising over $450 million across two funds and investing in 23 better-for-you brands. In 2019, he stepped back from CAVU to spend more time with his family and pursue later-stage CPG investments. He is currently the founder and Managing Partner of Astō Consumer Partners, a growth equity fund focusing on high growth, profitable, consumer brands.
He was awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Central Texas in 2006 and 2020.
An outdoor enthusiast, Clayton enjoys cycling, hiking, snow skiing, and sailing. He and his wife Carly split their time between Jackson Hole, WY, and Austin, TX, with their two children, James and Charlotte.
